Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Public Management, Public Administration, Monitoring and Evaluation, or Social Science (NQF Level 7 as recognized by SAQA) is required, along with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a junior management role within the Strategic Management, Monitoring, and Evaluation sector. A valid Code 8/10 driver’s license is essential.

Duties:
Formulate strategic and operational planning frameworks and systems. Design and execute strategic and operational principles and practices. Assess the implementation of departmental policies and evaluate the impact and sustainability of programs. Gather, store, analyze, and disseminate research along with strategic and operational information. Oversee the preparation and submission of the departmental strategic and annual operational plans. Create circulars to communicate strategic planning matters and timelines to stakeholders.
Offer technical support concerning planning processes and procedures. Coordinate the execution of circulars and develop templates for strategic planning. Ensure the distribution of templates and maintain quality assurance for departmental planning documents. Facilitate the creation of MEC Delivery Agreements. Manage the submission of the State of the Province Address (SOPA) commitments to the Office of the Premier (OOP) through the Office of the Head of Department (HOD) within set deadlines. Assist in the preparation and/or revision of the departmental strategic plan and annual performance plans. Engage in departmental strategic planning and annual performance planning sessions and meetings. Provide advisory services related to the strategic planning and annual performance planning processes and procedures. Identify inconsistencies in the departmental strategic plan and annual performance plan and facilitate their resolution.
